Meet Dr. Brandon Cummins

Dr. Brandon Cummins brings extensive experience to Burke Family Orthodontics following a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Air Force, where he retired as a Colonel. Throughout his career, he served as a clinician, educator, and leader, caring for patients across the United States and overseas while helping train and mentor future orthodontists.

Dr. Cummins has treated a wide range of orthodontic cases, from routine tooth alignment to complex surgical and interdisciplinary treatments. As an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University, he also taught advanced orthodontic techniques and mentored orthodontic residents, helping shape the next generation of orthodontists.

At Burke Family Orthodontics, Dr. Cummins enjoys combining advanced orthodontic care with a personalized approach. He believes strong relationships are at the heart of both great care and a fulfilling life, and he is committed to helping every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Dr. Cummins and his wife, Margaret, an Air Force veteran and dentist, have three children and are proud to call Northern Virginia home. Outside the office, he enjoys coaching youth sports, running and biking local trails, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with family and friends. You’ll often find him cheering from the sidelines at a game, volunteering in the community, or enjoying quality time with his family.
